MWL Denounces the Re-publishing by certain Danish Newspapers for the cartoons insulting Prophet Muhammad - PBUH)

The secretariat general of the Muslim World League(MWL) has categorically denounce the unfortunate re-publication by seventeen Danish newspapers for cartoons insulting the seal of Prophets, Muhammad(PBUH), and which were formerly published by the Danish JYLLANDS-POSTEN newspaper in 2006. In the MWL and its affiliate organization centers the world over have condemned with the strongest possible words the repetition of insult and ridiculing directed to both Prophet Muhammad and the Islamic Message with which was sent as mercy to mankind.

This was included in a statement issued on this occasion by Dr. Abdullah Ibn Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Muslim World League & President of MWL"S International Programme for Introducing the Prophet of Mercy, who described the re-publication of the said ridiculing cartoons in a number of Danish newspapers was deliberate determination on directing insulting to the last religion of Allah and to His Prophet , Muhammad(PBUH).
His Excellency Al-Turki drew the attention to the fact that this act instigates hatred and aversion among mankind , for it hurts /offends vexes /annoys Muslims all over the world, who are more than 1.5 billions, indicating that Muslim peoples, who are very keen to contribute in achieving peace and security for mankind, look forward to foster cooperation, coexistence and interaction among all nations, but warning against the expected consequences of blaspheming Islam and offending Muslims" feelings of Muslims, who will definitely not accept insulting their religion and Prophet.

"The Islamic centers and organizations affiliated to MWL have expressed their deep pain and degust for re-publication of cartoons insulting Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)"Dr. Turki said. He added that this obnoxious act ridicules also the other Messengers of Allah, whom Muslim believes in their Messages which were revealed before Islam and make no distinction among them. Allah says (The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one " of them" believeth in Allah, His Angels , His Books, and His Messengers" We make no distinction " they say" between one and another of His Messengers" And they say:" We hear, and we obey (We seek)Thy forgiveness, Our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys") Qur"an 2:285.

The Messages of Allah Almighty, which were concluded by the Islamic Message, Dr. Al-Turki said, prohibited ridiculing religion, mocking at Prophets as well as Messengers and elucidated the worst fate that awaited them, quoting his verse(Mocked were(many) Messengers before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked)Qur"an 6:10 and(If thou dost question them, they declare" emphasis":" We were only talking in play.: Say:" Was at Allah, and His signs, and His Messenger, that ye were mocking") Qur"an 9 :65. He went on to emphasize that Allah is always vigilant to those who mock at the Prophets and Messengers. Allah says (For sufficient are we unto thee against those who scoff) Qur"an 15:95.

Dr. Al-Turki requested the Danish official circles to take appropriate measures to stop the insulting of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) , who was sent to promulgate good, benevolence and mercy among mankind and a warn to all nations against corruption and to provide them with good tidings. Allah says," We sent thee not, but as mercy for creature" Qur"an 21:107 and ( We have not sent thee but as a "Messenger" to all mankind, giving them glad tidings, and warning them" against sin", but most men know not.) Qur"an 23:28

Finally, Dr. Al-Turki encouraged Muslims and their Islamic centers and organizations in Denmark to observe self-control, practice useful sagacious dialogue with those launching this vicious insulting campaign , and that they should not be instigated into war of word and exchange of foul language with insulting parties. He also underlined that the MWL and its International Programme for Introducing the Prophet of Mercy are keen on following up this matter in cooperation with international Islamic organizations, adding that Muslims should not indulge into the process of emotional reactions and confirming that Islam is an international human and eternal Message, which undertook to observe it intact by preserving his great Book. Allah says (We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and we will assuredly guard it "from corruption") Qur"an 15:9. Finally, Dr. Al-Turki said," We should be serious in presenting the principles of Islam, its unique tolerance and its great legislation as well as in elucidating the reality of the personality of the Prophet ((PBUH)), who was sent as mercy for mankind and in working under the umbrella of programmes that achieve due support for the seal of the Prophets, whom Allah provided with succor in all incidents and calamities."
